Design and characterization substrate integrated waveguide antenna for WBANS application

Millimetre-wave frequencies are defined as one of the front-runner contenders for body-centric wireless communication. In this study, low-profile antenna with substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) has been proposed that operate in band millimetre-wave frequency centred at 60 GHz. The implemented use FR4 εr and tangent loss 4.3 0.025, respectively. height size 1.5875 mm 20 x mm, performance is evaluated off-body (free space) on-body (human voxel model), through simulation. an ultra-wideband (UWB) a specific absorption rate maximal (SAR) (10 g) 0.0344815 W/kg (1 0.0184723 W/kg. It achieves 74% 63% efficiency off scenario, small exceptional matching impedance, low SAR, broad bandwidth, good efficiency, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), front-to-back (FBR). As result, its characteristics make it best potential candidates simultaneous transmission reception data (mm-wave) WBAN applications.
